Hunting land

Thick cover is good for deer, but it’s no good if you can’t see through it or get to your stand quietly. We can cut shooting lanes from your stand locations, open up access trails, and clear a spot for a food plot.

You know how the deer move on your ground, so you pick the lanes. Hang some ribbon, drop a pin or walk it with us. Mulching leaves the forest floor covered and doesn’t leave burn piles or ruts behind, and it’s a good job for late winter once the season’s over.

Food plots

A food plot needs sunlight and soil. We clear the opening and leave the ground mulched, but keep in mind that heavy mulch has to break down or be worked in before seed will take. If planting is the goal, tell us so we can plan for it.

ATV, UTV and walking trails

A trail makes a piece of land usable. It might be a loop for the side-by-side, a walking path through the woods behind the house, or a way down to the creek. We lay it out with you first and follow the ground so it’s enjoyable to ride or walk.

Where we can, we route around wet spots and across slopes rather than straight up and down them, because trails that run straight downhill tend to wash out.

What it costs

Jobs start at $2,500, which covers one full crew day. That’s usually a good amount of trail or a set of lanes, depending on how thick the woods are. Send a pin or a map with your lines drawn on it, and we’ll tell you what a day can get done.

Common questions

How wide can you cut a trail?

Wide enough for a side-by-side is common. Tell us what you’ll drive on it and we’ll set the width to match.

When should I cut shooting lanes?

After the season, so you don’t disturb the deer. That gives the area plenty of time to settle before next fall.

Can you get to the back of my property?

Usually, as long as we can get the machine in. We’ll look at access when we talk, including any gates or creek crossings.
